    Social media platformX, previously known as Twitter, was down for less than an hour on Tuesday night, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.com. The outage affected users primarily in the US, Canada, and the UK, with more than 36,500 reports at its peak around 11:18 p.m. ET. By 11:46 p.m. ET, reports had significantly decreased, with less than 500 outages reported in the US and similar drops in Canada and the UK.

    While the cause of the outage remains unclear, the quick resolution minimised the duration of the disruption.Downdetectortracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources, including user submissions.
